Josie's Fashion Runway

This coat was my Grandma Webb's (not Great-Grandma Webb). Mom gave it to me years ago and we've preciously taken care of it because it is such a classic and one of the few things that we have of Grandma's. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but when Kristin was little I made her wear it to a wedding we attended in the winter. She'll never forgive me and she says that was one of the reasons she had an unhappy childhood. (That and the fact that I never gave her tree climbing lessons and for her 16th birthday I didn't buy her the first Chevron car they released.) Anyway, the funny thing is that, the three-quarter length sleeves and leopard print is back in fashion -- It will always be in fashion. We use it for dress-up, which is encouraged at our house and it's been used for adult Halloween costumes too.

Josie loves to play with it, and she especially loves the sox. She'd wear them with normal clothes if Kristin would let her. Perhaps when Josie gets older, she'll blame Kristin for her unhappy childhood.

You guys have the best kid house. I loved reading this! Josie, your dress and purse are so cool! I look forward to seeing your next creation. Kristin, I can't wait to hear your version of the coat at the wedding . . .
