We've had a couple weeks of evening summer storms. This was looking from our back door toward Mt. Olympus last week.
And this was the following day of the same view.

The air is clean, the temperature is perfect and it's just a great time of year here.
The storms remind me of growing up in Salt Lake near Liberty Park in the '60s when the city hadn't figured out how to manage the storm drains near the park. The intersections would flood because the retention pond in the park couldn't contain all the runoff. I'd ride cardboard boxes down the gushing gutter and drag it back up the street, then down again. I wrote a Sestina poem about it in college. I wonder if it is still a good poem. It's a good memory.
