My family went to dinner tonight at Porcupine Grill, our favorite Sunday night hang out. As we were leaving, J.D. noticed another service dog in the restaurant. I wound my way through a couple tables intending to introduce myself and Tadaki. As I got about ten feet away, the Human with the dog commanded him to stay DOWN. Human hollered at me saying that her dog attacks other dogs.
This is where I want to SCREAM at the THE STUPID HUMAN. The filthy, matted, very old Golden Retriever had on a blue NON-CCI cape. I couldn't tell what insignia was on the cape because the dog thankfully did as STUPID HUMAN commanded and stayed DOWN.
My 10 second interaction with STUPID HUMAN and MEAN DOG made a bad impression to the 10 people sitting around them. I turned and headed the other way without saying a word. As I passed five tables, people from three of them commented on how beautiful my dog is. He didn't attack anyone and he left a good impression, not a memorable bad one.
I know I don't need to ask you what the hell is STUPID HUMAN thinking? She was in a wheelchair so I assume that her dog was some sort of Service animal, but how long ago should it have been retired or put down because it is an attack dog?
If I ever see her again, I might risk my health to tell her that she is STUPID! If you see her, or know her, please ask her to call me. I have a couple things to tell her.
We work hard to be allowed in public with our perfect CCI dogs. STUPID HUMAN gets the first PAWS DOWN award.

Having ANY dog behaving that way is inexcusable, having a SERVICE dog doing that is Freaking Outrageous.
Stacy is so right. If all dogs, pets included, behaved as well as CCI dogs, there would be no debate about public access for all dogs. That poor Golden is stuck with an awful human.
It's more like that human attacks every other human they see!
