The Stars are Brightest When it’s the Blackest Night

Those small glimmers peeping though the dark give comfort when we find ourselves halfway to hell. It seems that the tiniest light leads us through the murk of life. The flicker of a smile from the heavens, or a friend, can ease a flood of pain. Or help us to make the twisted turn from despair to joy – from a puffed-up sense of self, to humility, with the slightest blink from heaven. Thank you, whomever is out there watching over us.

This one gets posted on my fridge. Mental PowerBar for the homefront marathon. I especially liked "from a puffed-up sense of self, to humility, with the slightest blink from heaven." Thank you for so often being the smiling friend easing the flood of pain. As Ruthie would say, "You're the best!"
