Another Good Dog Day

We groomed today. Tadaki loves his chicken flavored toothpaste. CCI gave us a tote bag full of grooming supplies. Brushes, toothpaste, shampoo, nail clippers, toys...

He also got a camo colored stuffed bone, which will lose its guts if I let him have it for more than 15 seconds. He chewed on his Nylabone which is a really, really hard chew toy that is supposed to be indestructible. He had it for about 20 minutes and it is a quarter gone.

The staff calls him Big Boy. He's not the biggest dog here, there are others that are taller, but his chest is pretty broad and he has a commanding presence. I tried to keep him fairly calm today to see if he would body slam anyone today. Yep. I let him on the bed and said "Release" and he about hugged me right off the bed. Have me demonstrate "Lap," it's pretty funny.

It's our first night together alone. We played, cuddled (body slammed), visited friends and listened to their stories (there are some amazing survival stories), did our homework and had a glass of Sushi Girl. It was delightful.
He's sleeping in his open kennel. He won't come out unless I invite him. I kind of like the pack leader role. I wish I had know all this a lot sooner so I could have taught Deacon to stop barking when the garage door opens. We are going to work on that one the instant I get home.

Chicken flavored toothpaste? LOL.

How priceless to hear everyone's stories.
